Let me introduce you to my favourite website: trivago .
trivago (never with a capital "t") is one of the largest user driven travel portals in Europe. trivago has its headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany and was founded in 2005. The media Internet business combines social networking with real travel tips and reviews with price search and comparison for hotels and package holidays.
With its new hotel search visitors can compare the exact rate descr i ptions for hotel bookings directly on trivago, not only at the website of the booking partners. Which means that the trivago visitor is able to see the search results, including a descr i ption what will be included in the rate, on one page on trivago, without having to click through to several providers.
The trivago social networking community provides reviews, photos and information which will allow visitors to find out more about their holiday destination before making a booking decision.
trivago has sites in Germany, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Sweden, Poland and Russia, further expansions are planned for the future.

What is the trivago UK community ?

The trivago UK community consists of all the members of trivago.co.uk.
trivago.co.uk is the platform for the English speaking part of the world, not only for members who live in the United Kingdom. If there is no trivago platform in your home country yet, but you speak English ,you are more than welcome to join as a member of trivago.co.uk.
As there are so far "only" 9 individual platforms, and English is the most commonly known language in the world, trivago.uk is the most international of all the trivago portals.

What is the trivago community doing ?

The members of the trivago community share their private travel experiences in form of reviews and photos with all of the visitors to the portal. All content on the website is user generated. To add even more information to trivago the community members search the Internet for travel tips and information and post the result to the region/attraction on trivago which refers. Members also can add hotel information and descr i ptions to hotels or add the geo data for hotels and attractions in the trivago database. For all those efforts trivago offers a small renumeration, trivago shares, which are reimbursed once a month. No need to give up the daytime job though - as far as I know no member ever got rich through trivago, but if you are interested in travel and enjoy the website it can be a nice little earner .
